Fuller Center for Housing service project at the Broadmoor neighborhood home of Frank Vaccaro, a 90-year-old WWII veteran who fought in the Battle of the Bulge.

Volunteers from Barksdale Air Force Base painted much of his house – and they applauded when he came out the front door to greet them.

Greater Blessings Brochure

The Greater Blessings Process

  • Homeowner submits an application to Fuller Center NWLA

  • The Fuller Center provides a written job estimate and work agreement

  • A tithing plan based on the homeowner’s budget is developed

  • Volunteers repair the home

  • When the work is done, the homeowner is given a Greater Blessing box with enough envelopes in it to tithe the cost of the materials over an agreed-upon period and on terms they can afford

  • If unexpected bills or medical emergencies come up and a monthly payment cannot be made, the tithe schedule is simply increased by one month

  • Homeowner tithes are recycled to purchase materials to help another neighbor in need
