Roger Waters, formally of Pink Floyd, has a deep concern for Veterans’ issues and that concern has resulted in a $300,000 donation to build four Fuller Center homes for veterans in Shreveport, LA.

This generous donation will be coordinated by the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which is investing in innovative national and community-based programs solving issues that face today’s service members and their families.

Veteran Build is officially sponsored by Roger Waters through the Bob Woodruff Foundation and One Small House in partnership with the City of Shreveport, Volunteers of America Northwest Louisiana ( , Re-nesting Project, Hope for the Homeless and others who will participate in this project for veterans.

Detailed planning for building these homes has begun. The foundations will be poured before March 2013 and actual construction of the veterans’ houses will begin March 16, 2013. Fuller Center NWLA believes that this “four home build” will be a springboard to build at least five more homes for veterans in Shreveport and will be expanded to other veteran builds across the country.

This will be achieved with:
* Additional donations from the local community
* Acquiring additional property for future homes
* Volunteers from our community joining volunteers from across the country

Contact Fuller Center NWLA today to volunteer or donate to this project. Please know that our volunteers and your donations both large and small are what makes our work possible. Thank you for your continued support.
