The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. The Fuller Center for Housing of Northwest Louisiana recently was awarded an AmeriCorps National Service Program grant by the Corporation for National and Community Service and entered into an agreement with Centenary College. Centenary College of Louisiana is a selective, residential, national liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1825, it is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi river and is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South. Shreveport, LA (KMSS) — Not even a month after finishing homes for four veterans in Shreveport’s Stoner Hill neighborhood, and the Fuller Center of Northwest Louisiana was back in the neighborhood, this time fixing up the houses next to the homes they built for veterans. Watch Video Here The Fuller Center’s Bike Adventures brought 20 people to Shreveport in their cross-country excursion. The Bike Adventure group is stopping in cities where the Fuller Center has build houses nationwide, to help fix up neighboring houses by painting, landscaping, and even caulking windows. nh4v Hundreds came out to the fuller center for housing in a dedication ceremony to present homeless veterans with keys to their new home. The ceremony was open to the public and featured special guest Jim Durning. Honorary guests presented veterans Cliff Malone, Larry Linear, Miguel Guigni and William Hardy with keys to their news homes and hopes for a new beginning. the four new homes are the first phase of the fuller center’s veterans village project. Fuller Center Continues To Make A Difference 0

The Fuller Center has now built 40 homes for Hurricane Katrina evacuees now in Shreveport. Saturday was the dedication for the latest two for make a difference day. Marion Sullivan, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren moved to Shreveport following Hurricane Katrina. Since moving, Sullivan has lived with one of children. Because of the work of the Fuller Center and the generosity of numerous volunteers and partners, Sullivan was able to take a tour of her new home.For four years the center has worked to generate hope for displaced families just like the Sullivans.
