"Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

Luke 12:33-34

Other Projects

We are doing a number of other projects in the Shreveport area. Including:

  • Allendale Grocery Store and Offices – The store will supply the local residents of Allendale with good healthy food and supplies. No alcohol or tobacco products will be sold at the store. The top floor of the building will house the Fuller Center for Housing NWLA offices.
  • Allendale Museum – The museum is a collection of four original shotgun houses. The museum will house documents, domestic items, pictures and histories of Allendale and the Bottoms area.
  • Re-Store – A building materials store stocked with donated and recycled building products. We are just starting this project and looking for donated materials.
  • Handicapped Ramps – We install handicap accessible ramps to homes of people in need. With this program we keep people in their homes and in the community.

Our Basic Methods

  • No profit and no interest mortgages (Exodus 22:25) – Payments are used to assist other families in need.

  • Volunteer labor and donated materials - Whenever possible, local and/or green building materials are utilized.

  • Sweat Equity labor required of new homeowners.
